Site Copy - Apartment Descriptions

Waytostay had in the region of 3000 apartment listings, and each one had its own page and unique copy. The following are a selection of descriptions which I wrote for properties in various European cities. Descriptions were based on apartment photographs and information submitted by the owner.

Site Copy - Neighbourhood Descriptions

Waytostay provided apartments in sixteen major European cities and each destination had a detailed neighbourhood breakdown. The primary purpose of the text was to give potential clients a sense of place, describing neighbourhoods in line with the Style Guide.

Blog Post - The Beltane Fire Festival

The Waytostay community aimed to reinforce aspects of our brand identity, one of which was to provide our customers with the type of immersive cultural experience that only locals normally enjoyed. With this objective in mind, I was required to write "local experience" posts, showcasing lesser-known cultural sides of our destination cities.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

As you would expect, Waytostay 2.0 required a FAQ page. Since we needed to address doubts pertaining to both the booking process and the apartment stay itself, this was no small task. I was given a list of some sixty questions and asked to formulate clear answers, from scratch.

Email Copy - Website Launch

The website launch emails were meant to reinforce the brand personality and sense of connection with clients, owners and partners. This copy was written to be evocative, emotive and big hearted, allowing everyone to share in the excitement of Waytostay 2.0 finally going live.

The Beijinger is an English language culture magazine which has run a monthly edition out of the Chinese capital since 2001. A redacted version of the following piece, A Walk Through the Albaicín, was published in the travel section in the print edition.

SEO Copy - City Destination Guides

The Spain Event is a short-break tour operator and travel agent, based in Valencia. For the business model to function, customers must be able to find the website and book holiday packages online. Here, a selection of keywords are laced into destination city guides, thereby boosting Google ranking for targeted search terms and driving more traffic to the site.
